# Dignity Beyond Borders > Transforming Grief into Hope, Trauma into Resilience. Born from a compassionate response to 9/11, Dignity Beyond Borders is a global nonprofit that has helped more than 60,000 survivors of terrorism, war, and mass violence transform grief into hope and trauma into resilience. Dignity Beyond Borders combines clinical expertise, creative arts therapy, and dignity-centered dialogue to help survivors of traumatic loss process grief, rebuild connection, and find purpose. Programs include fully funded healing retreats, international youth peacebuilding, and professional training in dignity-centered practice. ## Core Pages - [Home](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/): Overview of the organization, current initiatives, and ways to get involved. - [What We Do](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/what-we-do/): The approach, combining clinical expertise, creative arts therapy, and dignity-centered dialogue. - [Who We Serve](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/who-we-serve/): The communities supported, from survivor support groups to trauma-informed leadership training. - [About](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/about/): Origin story following 9/11 and growth into a global movement. - [Our Mission](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/about/mission/): Mission, vision, and guiding commitments. - [The Dignity Model](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/about/the-dignity-model/): The framework underpinning all programming. - [Our Team](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/about/team/): Staff and clinical leadership. - [Board of Directors](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/about/board/): Governing board members. - [Contact](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/contact/): How to reach the organization. ## Programs - [All Programs](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/programs/): Trauma-informed programs spanning 9/11 wellness, youth peacebuilding, support for grieving mothers, and professional training. - [Project COMMON BOND](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/program/project-common-bond/): A clinician-guided international program for young adults ages 15 to 25 who have lost a loved one to violent conflict, building cross-cultural empathy and resilience. - [Women's World Peace Retreat](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/program/womens-world-peace/): A clinician-guided healing retreat in Jordan for military widows from five nations, conducted in English, French, and Arabic with all costs covered. - [Mothers for Dignity Retreat](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/program/mothers-for-dignity/): A fully funded four-day retreat for mothers who have lost a child to mass violence. - [9/11 Wellness](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/program/9-11-wellness/): Clinician-led retreats and ongoing support for 9/11 families and those affected by related illnesses, running for more than 20 years. - [Dignity in Action Training](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/program/dignity-in-action/): Expert-led curriculum bringing dignity-centered practice into workplace culture. - [Past Programs](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/programs/past/): Archive of previously delivered programs. ## Events - [Events](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/events/): Retreats, workshops, and gatherings for survivors of terrorism, war, and mass violence. - [Upcoming Events](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/events/upcoming/): Currently scheduled events open for registration. - [Past Events](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/events/past-events/): Archive of previous events. ## Media and Updates - [News and Insights](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/news-insights/): Articles, updates, and reflections from the organization. - [Gallery](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/gallery/): Photos from retreats, creative workshops, and community gatherings. ## Optional - [XML Sitemap](https://www.dignitybeyondborders.org/sitemaps.xml): Complete machine-readable index of all published URLs.
