Alex Phelan Greene is Vice President of Global Communications at Citi, working on the strategic communications initiatives supporting the firm’s Investment Bank and Corporate Bank. In her role, she develops integrated media and internal communications strategies, advises senior leadership, and collaborates across global teams to strengthen stakeholder engagement and advance firmwide priorities. Prior to Citi, Alex held communications and media relations roles at Goldman Sachs and M Group Strategic Communications, supporting executive visibility, reputation management, and strategic media initiatives across the financial services industry.
Alex is known for her ability to translate complex business and global issues into clear, compelling narratives and for building strong relationships across organizations and stakeholder groups. Her work is informed by a global perspective shaped through her academic background and early experience in journalism and international affairs.
She earned a Master of Science from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and holds an M.A. (Hons) in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, with a focus on international terrorism and foreign diplomacy. Alex has served on the Junior Board of Tuesday’s Children and brings a strong commitment to mission-driven leadership and community impact to her role on the Board of Directors of Dignity Beyond Borders.
