Edmond G. Gauvreau, FAIA, F.SAME is the Chief, Installation Readiness Branch, Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, DC.
Ed oversees installation support services across the Army, Department of Defense, and other federal agencies totaling over $300 million annually. He is responsible for master planning technical guidance, Army facility standards, energy initiatives, and critical infrastructure protection to enhance military readiness and support military families and civilians.
He was the 2015 chair of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Public Architects Knowledge Community in 2015 and the 2020-2022 Chair of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Architecture Practice Community of Interest. Ed was elected a Fellow of AIA in 2017 and received the SAME Urbahn Medal for excellence in architecture in 2017. He was elected to the SAME Academy of Fellows in 2024.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Public Administration from American University. He is a registered architect in Maryland and Michigan. He and his wife, Dr. Susan Mason Gauvreau, reside in Dayton, Maryland.
