Introducing “9/11 Wellness”: A Fall Retreat for 9/11 Widows at Kripalu

Benefit from Retreat & Renewal with Dignity Beyond Borders at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.

Dignity Beyond Borders is proud to introduce a new program of reflection, connection, and renewal: 9/11 Wellness—a three-day retreat in partnership with the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts.

Created specifically for women who lost loved ones on September 11, this retreat offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect—with others, with oneself, and with the healing power of nature.

A Thoughtfully Held Space for Connection and Renewal

Taking place September 28–October 1, 2025, the retreat will be guided by Monica Meehan McNamara, a longtime partner and facilitator with Dignity Beyond Borders. Each morning begins with a gently facilitated group session, where participants are invited to reflect on their journeys, share their stories, and explore the wisdom gained over the years.

Afternoons are open for self-directed renewal: whether that means taking a yoga or movement class, attending a wellness workshop, walking the wooded trails, reading lakeside, or simply resting. Healing arts therapies such as massage or energy treatments are also available for an additional cost through Kripalu’s Healing Arts center.

This is not just time away—it’s time toward something: healing, possibility, and shared strength.

What’s Included:

  • Private room with ensuite bath

  • Three delicious, nourishing meals per day

  • Morning Dignity Sessions with Monica Meehan McNamara

  • Access to Kripalu’s daily wellness workshops, including yoga, dance, Ayurveda, and more
